** MATH QUIZ THURSDAY** Measuring and drawing angles up to 90 degrees. Students can practice drawing angles up to 90 degrees at home using a protractor.

This week in Math ... 
This week we are going to continue practicing drawing and measuring angles. We will be having a quiz on these concepts on Thursday. For math homework this week, students are asked to work on their assigned tasks on Mathletics. After our quiz, we will be moving into our unit on representing whole numbers where students will be working on reading and representing whole numbers to 100 000.

This week in Language ... 
This week students will be meeting on Thursday to discuss their first set of chapters in their group book clubs. We will also be continuing our work on persuasive writing as well as starting Daily 5 literacy centres where students will be working on their reading comprehension and reading strategies along with word work. For language homework this week, students are asked to assure they complete their assigned book club job for this week and read the chapters from their book by Thursday. If students have completed their jobs and have finished their chapters, they are asked to return their duotangs and books to school to store until Thursday in their book bins.
