I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!
With so many school events and it being a busy time of year, I am not assigning any formal math homework until we return after Christmas break. Students will still be required to complete their Book Club assignments both this week and next so that they are prepared to meet with their groups both this coming Thursday and Thursday next week.

Thursday December 12th - Grade 5 Social Emotional Learning Session & Book Club Meetings
Friday December 13th - Practice for Advent Mass
The Grade 5's will be leading the Advent mass next week on Monday December 16th from 11-12pm. Many students will be asked to participate in different parts of the mass and together as a grade team, we will be making up the choir for the mass. We will be practising for this mass throughout the week and students will receive their parts to read during the mass tomorrow or Tuesday of this week.
The musical will be taking place on Wednesday. Students who are involved will be participating in an all day dress rehearsal on Tuesday. On Wednesday, students in primary classes will be viewing the musical during block 1 and students in junior classes will be viewing during block 3. Our evening show will take place from 6:30-7:15pm. Congratulations to all of those students who are involved, they have been working very hard missing countless recesses in preparation for this incredible performance!
Next week on Friday December 20th there will be an all school Christmas Sing along starting at 1pm that parents are welcome to attend.
Tomorrow is the last day to bring in items for our classroom Christmas hamper. Non-perishable food items, hygiene items as well as small gifts for teenagers and young adults are being asked for. No donation is too small!
